Are you a geologist with a passion for discovery, fieldwork, and geological interpretation? Do you want to be part of a dynamic team driving exploration programs from concept to drilling? We’re looking for a Project Geologist to join our exploration team and help unlock the next major mineral discovery.
🔍 Scope of the Role
As a Project Geologist, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of field-based exploration, supporting target generation through geological mapping, logging, modeling, and data management. You’ll oversee small teams in the field, ensure QA/QC protocols are followed, and use modern software tools to interpret and visualize subsurface data.
This role requires strong initiative, technical know-how, and a discovery-driven mindset, with a focus on safety, community engagement, and environmental responsibility. You’ll work on diverse projects, helping advance both greenfield and brownfield opportunities across various commodities and terrains.
🧠 Core Competencies & Skills
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of local and regional geology, mineralization, and ore-forming systems
- Developing experience in at least one commodity and multiple terrains
- Field-based geologic mapping, sampling, and logging
- Basic knowledge of geochemistry and geophysics
- Hands-on GIS (preferably QGIS) and 3D modeling software (Leapfrog preferred)
Analytical Thinking:
- Able to apply ore body models to real-world geology
- Creative problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Capable of questioning established assumptions
- Strong skills in compiling, interpreting, and presenting geological data

📋 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement exploration programs, including surface mapping and sampling
- Design and manage drill programs aligned with project goals
- Conduct detailed core logging and sampling; maintain QA/QC standards
- Track and report drilling progress; ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols
- Supervise field teams, technicians, and sampling procedures
- Compile, interpret, and visualize geologic and assay data using 3D software
- Assist with geological modeling, targeting, and drill design
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual technical reports and presentations
- Maintain detailed and accurate geological records aligned with NI 43-101 or JORC.
- Mentor junior geologists and contribute to a strong team culture
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- BSc in Geosciences or related field (MSc preferred)
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration (greenfield or development stage)
- Field experience with grassroots through drill-testing and resource conversion
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Strong GIS and data management skills (QGIS, ArcGIS)
- Proven ability to manage field logistics and exploration safety protocols
- Experience in Archean terranes and with commodities such as Cu, Ni, Zn, Li, Ag, Au, or REEs
- Willingness to work in remote field environments on rotation if required
- High adaptability, curiosity, and a desire to grow into greater responsibilities
