We are seeking a Project Specialist to support our field operations and project execution. This role requires hands-on involvement in fieldwork, including site visits, mapping, core logging assistance, drilling monitoring, and team supervision. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, safety-conscious, and physically fit for remote work in demanding environments.
🧠 Core Competencies & Skills
Technical Skills:
- Sample collection and handling techniques.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in field data recording.
- Ability to detect and resolve sampling or equipment issues.
- Familiarity with geological environments and mapping principles.
- Proficiency in using field equipment (GPS devices, mapping tools, laptops).
- Valid driver’s license with 4WD experience.
- Experience with data recording, GPS logging, and photo documentation
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Problem-solving in practical, field-based scenarios
- Process optimization and workflow improvement in field settings
- Anticipation of potential issues before they arise
- Capability to analyze and interpret collected field data

📋 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits and geological mapping
- Assist geologists and core technicians in the core processing workflow
- Monitor and assist in drilling rig setup and activities
- Handle RQD logging, recovery calculations, and meter marking
- Take structural measurements and ensure proper field documentation
- Supervise sampling teams and manage field task assignments
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards for field data collection
- Record field data using GPS, photos, and electronic devices.
- Supervise field sampling teams and ensure all necessary equipment is available.
- Assign tasks and monitor team performance in the field.
- Support quality control processes related to data collection and sample handling.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (geological coursework preferred)
- 6-8 years of experience in field exploration activities.
- Strong familiarity with geological tools, GPS devices, and mapping software
- Experience working in remote or rugged terrains
- Physically fit for demanding field conditions
- Proficiency with laptops and digital data tools
- First Aid certification and remote safety training preferred
